🪙CRYPTO DIGEST🪙
Bitcoin has spent the last two weeks consolidating just below the $100,000 mark, reaching a local top at $99,661. Last week’s low of $90,760 will be critical to monitor as local support. If this level holds, BTC could potentially retest its current ATH to break into six-figure territory. Building structure here is healthy for the long-term sustainability of BTC’s trend. While many are eager to see $100K breached, consolidation serves as a foundation for further growth. As we approach the year’s end, I remain optimistic that BTC can achieve $100K and beyond, setting the stage for a monumental 2025 for BTC and the crypto asset class.
BTC Dominance has seen an aggressive drop from its cycle peak of 61.53%, leading many to speculate that a true altcoin season may be imminent. Achieving my long-standing target of 57%+ dominance, as mentioned here on 12/5/23, confirms that we’re either on the brink of alt season or preparing for one final move before it fully unfolds. This is the time to seriously consider the altcoin market, as I believe it will greatly outperform BTC, particularly in 2025.
ETH/BTC appears to be forming a potential bottom, positioning Ethereum as a likely leader in the next phase of the cycle. If ETH begins to outperform BTC, it will likely signal the broader alt market entering uncharted territories. Total3/BTC and Others/BTC metrics suggest that the foundation for an alt season is being set, with 2025 shaping up to be a significant year for altcoins. However, if this shift begins in earnest this month or by January 2025, time may be running out to accumulate altcoins at more favorable valuations.
As we approach the peak of this cycle, potentially as early as Q2 2025, it’s vital to remain disciplined and stick to a well-defined plan. While the market could extend toward the end of 2025, consider taking profits if conditions appear overheated mid-year. These are exciting times, but emotions like greed can easily derail even the best strategies. Enjoy this period of growth and opportunity, but stay grounded—chasing unrealistic gains or moving your goalposts can lead to costly mistakes. 🐸MEMES🐸
At the moment, older alt coins that are commonly referred to as 'dino coins' such as XRP, LINK and QNT have been pumping pretty hard after falling and stagnating for a long time. This coupled with Solana's outperformance of almost every alt in the past few months means that Solana needs to pullback a little bit and the price action needs to rest. As a result, our memes are dumping a little bit.
There are still many new launches doing well so keep your eyes peeled for those, but established and longer term memes have not been performing so well in the last week or two. This is nothing to worry about, eventually the liquidity will come back across and memes will have their day in the sun again.
In terms of strategies: there's risk and then lower risk. If you're happy to risk it then bidding established memes/AI coins would be a good idea e.g. $FWOG, $CHILLGUY, $MOODENG, $GIGA, $ZEREBRO, $GOAT, $BONK etc. However if you want something less risky but still want to play with memes, the best strategy at the moment is to focus on buying and swinging these new higher volume launches. Coins such as $TETSUO went from $1m market cap to $40m market cap in one day and there are plenty more doing similar types of moves. Focusing on these types of memes will help you accumulate more SOL that you can either hold, or put into other alts that you might like.
I personally would recommend a mix of both of these strategies, leaning heavily towards the newer launches strategy.

The last Jupuary vote failed with 58% voted Yes but the threshold to pass was 70%. This created some drama and confusion on CT.
But make no mistake - the Airdrop will happen regardless. We are not voting for whether there will be an airdrop or not, but in what format.

HyperLiquid - Perhaps the biggest and most successful Airdrop
HyperLiquid, the Perp DEX that has the highest trading volume in all of crypto, which also happens to be a L1 with its own consensus mechanism (the HyperEVM) has created waves this week with one of the biggest airdrop in crypto history.
Many early adopters made 6-8 figures from the airdrop as it was up only for days which was nothing short of extraordinary. Trading close to $10B FDV, HyperLiquid looks to become one of the core DeFi primitives in the years to come.
Do not despair if you didn’t participate. 70%+ has been allocated to the community and only less than half of that was dropped at genesis. Starting trading on the platform to earn future rewards, or if you hold the $HYPE token, I would definitely stake it (potentially for ecosystem airdrops) when it becomes available.

In recent years, numerous traditional brands have ventured into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and crypto culture, aiming to engage with tech-savvy consumers and explore new revenue streams. These initiatives have significantly influenced both the brands and the broader digital landscape.
Adidas made a notable entry into the metaverse by launching its "Into the Metaverse" NFT collection in December 2021. This collection, developed in collaboration with NFT pioneers such as Bored Ape Yacht Club, PUNKS Comic, and Gmoney, offered holders exclusive access to virtual wearables and physical merchandise. The initiative generated approximately $23.4 million in a single afternoon, underscoring the substantial consumer interest in digital collectibles.
Building on this momentum, Adidas introduced its first NFT wearables collection, "Virtual Gear," in November 2022. This 16-piece collection was designed to be interoperable with various metaverse platforms, allowing virtual avatars to don Adidas apparel across different digital environments. This move exemplified Adidas's commitment to integrating with the evolving digital fashion landscape.
McDonald's has also explored the NFT space. In November 2024, the company collaborated with Doodles, an entertainment company that began as an NFT project, to launch the "GM Spread Joy" campaign. This initiative featured limited-edition holiday cups adorned with Doodles' signature pastel artwork and offered customers digital experiences through the McDonald's app, including access to exclusive digital apparel for Doodles avatars.
Other notable brands have embraced NFTs as well. Nike acquired RTFKT, a pioneering Web3 streetwear brand, in 2021 to enhance its digital presence. RTFKT integrated sneaker culture, gaming, and NFTs, achieving significant success before announcing it would cease operations by January 2025. Coca-Cola launched its "Masterpiece" NFT collection in August 2023, featuring classic and contemporary artworks integrated with the iconic Coca-Cola bottle. Louis Vuitton introduced the VIA Treasure Trunk, a limited-edition digital collectible designed for those seeking unique creations in new realities.
These ventures by traditional brands highlight a broader trend of embracing NFTs and crypto culture to connect with younger, digitally native audiences. By integrating digital assets into their marketing strategies, these brands are not only tapping into new consumer bases but also positioning themselves at the forefront of digital innovation.
However, these initiatives are not without challenges. Brands must navigate technical complexities, ensure cybersecurity, and address potential consumer skepticism regarding digital assets. Despite these hurdles, the foray of traditional brands into NFTs signifies a transformative shift in how companies engage with consumers, blending physical and digital experiences in unprecedented ways.
