🪙CRYPTO DIGEST🪙

Bitcoin: Range Dynamics and FibMa Insights

BTC swept the range lows early this week, briefly dipping to $89,491 before rallying back above $94,000. This movement has so far maintained support at the $90,000 range low, suggesting the potential for a deviation of the range. If the $90,000 level continues to hold, BTC could gradually move toward the mid-point of the predefined range ($98,250) and potentially challenge the $106,500 range highs.
However, failure to hold the range lows could lead to a test of the 1.25 extension.

From a FibMa perspective, the recent pullback tested the Blue band for the first time in 121 days. Throughout this cycle, interactions with the Blue band have consistently presented incredible buying opportunities, marking critical moments for bullish continuation. As BTC remains above the Blue band, this could act as a springboard for a potential recovery and move back toward higher levels.

BTC Dominance: A Macro Shift on the Horizon

BTC Dominance has re-entered its ascending channel, suggesting continued strength in Bitcoin relative to the broader crypto market. Until looser monetary policy arrives, there is still a chance BTC Dominance challenges its cycle highs.

That said, I strongly believe BTC Dominance is nearing or already at the point of a macro shift. Over the next 12 months, we are likely to witness a significant drop-off in BTC Dominance, transitioning from its multi-year uptrend to a phase where altcoins and ETH begin to outperform. This aligns with historical patterns of alt season cycles during the later stages of a bull market.

Ethereum and the Broader Altcoin Market

ETH/BTC remains rangebound between 0.04 and 0.03191. This range continues to present an excellent accumulation zone, particularly as ETH shows signs of a bottoming process. A breakout above the descending channel could mark the beginning of ETH's leadership phase in the broader altcoin rally.

The broader altcoin market, represented by Total3/BTC and Others/BTC, has seen some stabilization after recent pullbacks against BTC. As BTC shows signs of holding its range lows, altcoins could begin to catch up, particularly if BTC remains stable or continues its gradual ascent.

Key Economic Data to Watch

This week, critical economic data releases could influence market sentiment:

• Wednesday: CPI (Consumer Price Index) 

• Thursday: Initial Jobless Claims

Both reports will play a significant role in shaping market expectations for the near-term trajectory of risk assets like crypto. A dovish inflation print or steady labor market could fuel further bullish momentum, while negative surprises may introduce volatility.

🐸MEMES🐸

Thanks for the call yesterday was good to iron out a lot of the concerns the team was having! The past few days have been a massive test in the markets, with sentiment seemingly at a low for a lot of people. Despite this, there have been clear signs that memes are making a comeback and AI coins have continued to move upward.

There are multiple strategies suited to different people that will work in this market. It's very clear that the most money to be made in the quickest period of time is through new, high volume AI coin launches - for example coins such as $LISTEN and $HOLO which launched with very high volume and hit over 20 million + market cap within hours. If you're not a new launches trader, then your best strategy is likely to shortlist high volume runners, wait for 70% dips and then make your entries on these coins if the fundamentals are solid - this strategy has paid dividends for many coins such as $NEUR and I think it will continue to do so for high volume AI launches.

Whilst memecoins are coming back and you should keep an eye on them especially with Trump being inaugurated and being the most meme-loving president, my advice would be to ignore anyone who says AI has topped here and to rotate into memes instead. Why? Look at the stock market - most of the strongest performers are AI-related, this speaks for itself and I expect it to translate to crypto.

🤑AIRDROPS: WEEK OF JAN12th🤑

Jupiter Airdrop (Jupuary 2025) Checker this week

700M $JUP will be distributed this January as part of Jupiter Exchange’s annual airdrop to users of the platform. This is the second last airdrop for the community (last one is in Jan 2026), with 500M going to genuine users and stakers/voters, and 200M set aside as “carrots” (future incentives for holding onto the airdrop) and “Good Cats”, community members who contributed with content on social media and Discord.

Users will received a tiered airdrop based on usage of swaps, and other products such as DCA, perps etc. The team made changes to the tiers and this will be disclosed later this week, so stay tuned to check your allocation this week. The airdrop will happen later this month.

After running a testnet for almost a year, Synthr is finally tokenising. Testnet wrapped up on 13 Jan 12 pm UTC, and token will be listed on top exchanges Kucoin, MEXC and Gate on 14 Jan 12 pm UTC.
